Registered Practical Nurses with dementia care and clinical assessment skills can support Complex Continuing Care in North Bay. Bilingual English and French candidates are required.
North Bay Regional Health Centre seeks Registered Practical Nurses for Complex Continuing Care and Seniors Mental Health units. The role requires medical clinical experience, Dementia Care experience, and medication administration certification with related experience. Nurses provide patient care, health teaching, communication, and safety support while working collaboratively or with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Assume responsibility for total patient care
- Provide nursing care to medical patients
- Deliver health teaching to individuals and groups
- Apply therapeutic and interpersonal communication skills
- Support safety and prevention of adverse health events
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- Current Basic Life Support certificate within twelve months
- Capillary Blood Glucose Certification
- Experience in Dementia Care and medical clinical practice
- Gentle Persuasive Approach and PIECES certificates
