District Manager, Rail Infrastructure - ONTC

Location: Temagami

Lead critical rail maintenance operations with Ontario Northland in Newmarket-North Bay-Temagami as a District Manager. Manage track inspections and ensure regulatory compliance while overseeing a diverse workforce.

In this managerial role reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance of Way, you'll ensure the safety and reliability of rail infrastructure across a major portion of the system. Key tasks include conducting thorough track inspections, managing snow removal services, and maintaining compliance with transport regulations. Your expertise will contribute to developing sustainable rail solutions essential for community connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee routine inspections and maintenance of rail tracks

• Manage compliance reports to the Ministry of Transportation

• Organize snow removal at railway crossings

• Facilitate quarterly and annual vehicle inspections

• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments

Requirements:

• 3-year post-secondary diploma in Engineering Technology

• Minimum 5 years’ track maintenance and management experience

• Certified in Canadian Railway Operating Rules

• Strong analytical and leadership skills

• Valid G Driver’s Licence and ability to travel
