Position: SR MFG & PROCESS DVL ENGINEER

SR MFG & PROCESS DVL ENGINEER at TE Connectivity

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods while striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and part manufacturing by realizing sample tooling, products, and prototypes.

They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost, and cycle time, and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.

What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Product / Process validation & transfer
  • Assist with product qualification
  • Process Development/Implementation/Documentation – Bulk Cable
  • Assist all areas of cable manufacturing as required
  • Support Product Development/Design Engineering activities
  • Interact with test lab on process/product qualification activities plus DOE, PFMEA, 8D, FA
  • Support Tooling Specification & Design activities
  • Support additional manufacturing sites as required
  • Support SAFE Activities
  • Support ISO Activities
  • Provide Technical support for maintenance activities
  • Provide any support for any activities or projects necessary to support the business
  • Manufacturing, Mechanical or Plastics Engineering Degree preferred
  • This is a mid-level to advanced position depending on candidate
  • Minimum 5 years of wire & cable process engineering experience
  • Working knowledge in SPC/Six Sigma/Lean
  • CAD Experience Required
  • Knowledge of materials, processes, and systems used in the manufacture of wire & cable a must
  • Up to 30% International Travel Required
