Overview

As an in-store shopper, you will utilize the latest technology to engage with customers through an app, shopping their orders and staging them for pickup. If you are passionate about working in a fast-paced environment and giving customers the freshest and best quality products out there, this could be the role for you!

• Utilize technology to communicate with and fulfill customer orders
• Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders and stage them in fulfillment area
• Properly handle all product, including properly bagging items to reach the customer
• Make appropriate substitutions as needed and process payments
• Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked workspace
• May be expected to carry out other customer service duties within the store, as needed, including running a register

• Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting
• Ability to use a company-issued device to manage orders and communicate with customers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently

The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, pushing a shopping cart, repetitive hand and arm movements, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, occasional to frequent bending, frequent reaching, moving and lifting, including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers. The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 12 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 45 pounds occasionally.

Upper extremity repetition is moderately high and trunk movement involves moderately high twisting, bending, and pivoting. May receive assistance with heavy items, if available. May be exposed to various allergens. The work environment is indoors and involves seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include shopping cart, scan gun, shopping bags, computer, iPad/smartphone, telephone, printer, cash register, and common office-related items.
