Delivery and Set up Driver

Delivery and Set-Up Driver at Ricoh Canada Production Print is responsible for the efficient and high-quality pickup, relocation, and delivery of office equipment in a safe manner. This role may involve installation and networking of equipment upon delivery to customers. The driver should demonstrate professionalism and provide basic training on delivered devices. The role requires meeting all federal DOT requirements and Delivery Safety Standards.

• Ensure safe and accurate delivery of equipment to designated locations.
• Maintain logbooks in accordance with DOT regulations (electronic or manual).
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with DOT and state laws.
• Perform simultaneous pickup of products during deliveries to minimize costs.
• Install basic connected equipment, including IP address configuration, driver installation, and basic customer training on standalone and network printing devices.
• Participate in Safety Programs and complete required training.
• Contact dispatch for technician support as needed and verify equipment configuration matches documentation (Bill of Lading, traveler, etc.).
• Load and unload trucks; ensure equipment is secured in the vehicle.
• Provide basic customer training and ongoing support for printers and networking devices.
• Load and unload trucks as needed; assist in training new drivers when applicable.
• Follow accident/incident reporting guidelines and conduct inventory cycle counts as required.
• Meet productivity and quality standards; manage inventory up to $1,000,000.
• Overnight stays may be required based on DOT regulations or peak periods.
• Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, stair climbers, pallet jacks) as needed.

• Safe driving record and history.
• Online technical training focused on networking and installation.
• On-the-job training with field technicians at customer locations or transfer center.
• Eligibility to drive a commercial vehicle under FMCSR regulations.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy.
• Minimum of two years of medium-duty truck driving experience.
• Successful completion of a road test.
• Valid and current medical card.
• Be at least 20 years old with proper licensing.
• High school diploma or equivalent; CDL if applicable per state regulations.
• Ability to read maps and use electronic GPS.
• Overnight stays may be required based on DOT regulations or peak periods.

• Ability to physically handle oversized and heavy equipment.
• Strong customer presentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with smartphones and tablets; basic computer skills.
• Adequate technical skills to install and network equipment.
• Methodical approach to problem solving; ability to read, perform math, and maintain legible handwriting.
• Certification on operation of warehouse equipment may be required.

• Physical lifting up to 100 pounds; equipment may weigh up to 1,000 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting; ability to service equipment at floor level.
• Work in office, warehouse, and vehicle environments with varying lighting and noise levels.
• Frequent exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners; ability to work independently.
