PTA PRN

Stern Therapy Consultants is adding a Physical Therapist Assistant to the PRN rehab team at Blackstone Valley in Whitinsville, MA
. Work alongside the supervising Physical Therapist to help skilled nursing residents gain confidence with walking, transfers, and everyday movement.

• Carry out treatments outlined in the Physical Therapist's plan of care, adapting activities within that plan to residents' tolerance.
• Lead prescribed exercises that address strength, balance, endurance, and functional mobility.
• Practice bed mobility, transfers, and walking with residents while following individual precautions and assistance needs.
• Reinforce instruction on walkers, other mobility devices, and safe movement techniques.
• Observe treatment responses and report changes in function, discomfort, or participation to the supervising PT.
• Complete accurate treatment notes and coordinate with nursing and rehab staff to support consistent mobility routines.

• $40–$45 per hour.
• PRN coverage assignments matched to your availability and facility needs.

• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Clear communication and dependable clinical documentation.
• Ability to organize treatment sessions and recognize when to consult the supervising PT.
