A reputable accident repair centre in York is actively seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Panel Beater looking to develop a long-term career within a nationwide automotive accident repair group. The successful Panel Beater will benefit from competitive remuneration, excellent working conditions, and clear career progression prospects.

Competitive salary of up to £59,800 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, with 1 in 2 Saturday mornings subject to business demand

Panel Beater Duties:

Replace and repair damaged or compromised bodywork panels
Conduct chassis and framework repairs
Perform welding and panel bonding tasks
Complete bumper and door repairs as needed
Maintain thorough knowledge of current product and repair techniques
Deliver high levels of customer service to promote customer loyalty and referrals
Adhere to health and safety standards and maintain an orderly work environment
Complete duties as specified on job cards, ensuring work meets manufacturer and company standards
Prioritise workload effectively, working independently while supporting team members during busy periods

Requirements:

Recognised qualification in automotive Panel Beating or actively working towards an IMI certification
Consideration will also be given to Panel Beaters with extensive panel beating experience and no formal qualifications
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Good organisation skills and initiative to prioritise tasks
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining effective communication with colleagues
A UK driving licence with minimal points
