Location: North Yorkshire
Castle Manufacturing is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Manufacturing Manager to join a well-established and ambitious engineering business based in North Yorkshire. This position offers the chance to play a key role within a busy machine shop environment, contributing directly to operational efficiency, production performance, and continued business growth.
This is an office-based position within the machine shop, responsible for coordinating production activities and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Ordering materials and consumables from both existing and new suppliers
Creating and allocating job cards
Managing supplier progression and communication
Identifying and implementing process improvements
Production planning and manufacturing time estimation in collaboration with the Production Manager
Arranging subcontract work during periods of overcapacity
Managing external finishing processes
Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of an engineering or manufacturing environment
Ability to interpret engineering drawings with sound material knowledge
Experience with in a CNC machining environment is desirable
Excellent IT skills
Experience in inspection and quality management
