Human Resources Generalist
Join Holden Farms Inc. as a Human Resources Generalist, reporting to the Human Resources Manager. Key responsibilities include payroll, recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and employee development.
Base Pay Range$65,000.00 / yr – $80,000.00 / yr
Essential Job Functions- Perform payroll functions
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations
- Partner with management on employee development and policy implementation
- Respond to employee inquiries about employment, policies and programs
- Assist in conflict resolution among employees and management
- Recruit for HFI positions (post jobs, conduct phone screens, and determine qualified candidates)
- Create, update and maintain all position descriptions
- Conduct new‑hire orientations and ensure paperwork completion
- Attend career fairs and coordinate summer internship program
- Manage annual benefits open enrollment for all full‑time employees
- Act as main point of contact for HFI benefit vendors
- Reconcile benefit enrollment or claim issues and approve invoices for payment
- Respond to all unemployment claims
- Participate in quarterly safety committee meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent HR experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in Human Resources
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong spreadsheet and database skills
- ADP experience is preferred
- Self‑motivated team player with a positive can‑do attitude
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to handle difficult conversations and achieve desired results
- Highly accurate with strong attention to detail
- Excellent prioritization, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong interest in team building and staff development
- Dependable and able to work with minimal supervision
- Bilingual in English / Spanish required
