Position Summary
Enjoy a great work‑life balance at our dialysis clinic located in Forest Park. The Forest Park location is open six days a week, offering early morning shifts beginning at 4:45 AM to cater to our patients’ schedules. Patient sessions run from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Our facility features 24 dialysis stations and a team consisting of six Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technicians and two Registered Nurses.
To maintain this position there must be one day worked each month to include one holiday a year. Your hours may be modified based on departmental needs.

Job DescriptionPrimary
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Arranges and maintains equipment and supplies for performance of dialysis and other procedures, including preparation of Dialysate solutions.
- Performs cannulation, initiates, monitors and discontinues dialysis treatment.
- Observes and monitors patient vital signs and significant dialysis treatment parameters; assesses patient signs and symptoms and provides treatment accordingly.
- Communicates pertinent patient information or changes in patient condition to the team leader; documents these results per unit’s policies.
- Transports, weighs and assists patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers and chairs.
- Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines and responds to patient concerns in a timely manner.

Required QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications / Professional Licenses: Basic Life Support – American Heart Association;
Basic Life Support – American Red Cross;
Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) – Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC);
Certified Hemodialysis Practitioner/Technician (CHT) – Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology (BONENT).
Work Experience: No specific work experience is required for this position.

Driver’s License: A driver’s license is not required for this position.
More About This JobRequired Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
