Position SummaryProvides clinical office support including greeting and registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits and referrals, and collecting co‑paids.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Greets patients, assists with form completion and verifies the accuracy of insurance and demographic information; provides HIPAA, arbitration, and consent‑to‑treat forms.
- Collects co‑pays and verifies and balances receipts and payments.
- Reviews schedule for new patients, updating as necessary.
- Calls patients with appointment reminders, obtains insurance information, and collects referral forms.
- Prepares, distributes and collects fee tickets; reviews ticket completeness; reconciles tickets with the daily schedule.
- Schedules return patient appointments and testing, validating patient parking.
- May prepare patients’ charts for daily appointments.
- Assists patients with insurance billing questions.
- Assists staff with reminder card distribution and related scheduling duties.
