Research Scientist, Clinical Research
Position Summary
The lab of Dr. Claudia Han is seeking a passionate and talented postdoctoral fellow to join our dynamic team in the Department of Pathology and Immunology and part of the Brain Glia and Immunology Center at WashU in St. Louis. Our research centers on the brain’s innate immune system — microglia and other brain-resident macrophages — and how they shape neurodevelopmental disease and tumor progression.
Specifically, we investigate how transcriptional regulators and gene networks govern immune and brain cell behavior. Our lab uses a broad array of approaches, including flow cytometry, cell sorting, next-generation sequencing, CRISPR/Cas9 screens, and mouse and iPSC stem cell models.
We welcome applicants from multidisciplinary scientific backgrounds, including neuroimmunology, tumor immunology, molecular biology, genetics, and genomics. Candidates should be motivated to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team committed to scientific rigor, creativity, and mutual support. Dr. Han is deeply committed to the growth and success of each lab member and fostering an inclusive collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are actively valued.
If you are excited to explore the frontiers of brain-immune interactions and want to grow in a supportive lab culture, we encourage you to apply.
