Position: Senior Financial Analyst (Financial Planning & Analysis)

Primary purpose of the position

Provides technical support to the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function as directed.

Essential Responsible Areas
  • Participates in the sales volume, revenue and contribution margin forecasting, planning and analysis process and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and related ad‑hoc requests on a timely basis.
  • Drives the P&L forecasting process for assigned areas on a quarterly basis and the annual budgeting process resulting in the development of divisional financial statements.
  • Pays attention to detail and is alert to business changes and how they might affect our financial statements in the future.
  • Develops and maintains detailed analysis of divisional financial statements, produces standard reporting packages and KPI’s to support core business partners.
  • Support process improvement by contributing and developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
  • Perform detail analytics in order to drive business decisions.
  • Maintains a working relationship with divisional accounting, commercial and contract administration teams to understand monthly reporting and support accurate financial results.
  • Reviews assigned areas monthly results and provides summative and relevant analysis to stakeholders.
  • Ownership of sales volume, revenue, and contribution margin forecasting and understanding. Critical need to business partner and maintain strong relationships cross‑functionally.
Professional & Education Qualification
  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college or work‑related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Job related experience for 3 years minimum.
Skills
  • Working knowledge of the following areas: finance, accounting, business and economic principles and practices.
  • Strong financial modeling, strong excel spreadsheets, Word documents, JDE Enterprise One, and Essbase, preferred.
  • Ability to make detailed presentations of financial analysis, including on projects and a variety of business problems to executive management.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Detail‑oriented and able to perform in a high‑pressure environment.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hybrid On‑Site Work Environment:
    Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in‑person engagement by working on‑site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non‑Ball locations may be required.]
  • Hiring Salary Range: $74,600 - $104,160 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
