Financial Analyst
Primary purpose of the position
Responsible for supporting Corporate financial reporting & analysis process including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements, as well as ad‑hoc analysis. Acts as liaison with Corporate Finance Functions, to meet required deadlines, coordinates and communicates changes impacting process, and supports discussions on opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Responsible Areas- Performs monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis and reporting of the Financial performance of the Consolidated Business as assigned to develop rational explanations and actionable analysis.
- Provides guidance and support to their assigned Corporate functions for Financial planning, Capital planning, and forecasting.
- Assists the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in the preparation of balance sheet and cash flow forecasts for the Corporate planning process.
- Identifies, assesses and implements improvements to the organization’s planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis systems and processes and ensures consistent application among all business partners.
- Prepares financial models and ad‑hoc analysis as requested to analyze financial information related to planning, actual results, or projects.
- Responsible for communicating with business partners across the organization to include building presentations and oral delivery, written emails and memorandums, and informal conversations.
- Acts as integral part of Financial Planning and Analysis team by supporting process improvement to deliver timely, accurate and forecasted results to all levels of Ball management team.
- Prepares and maintains all applicable user documentation and training materials. Provides proactive process improvement recommendations and assists in implementing the accepted solutions.
- Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college or work‑related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- Job related experience for 3 to 7 years minimum.
- Analytical ability, including comprehension of financial performance results and associated evaluation of drivers affecting results.
- Must be able to manage conflicting priorities and to meet established timeliness while maintaining accuracy in their work.
- Working knowledge of the following areas:
Finance, Accounting, business and economic principles and practices, financial modeling, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred. - Proficient in Hyperion Financial tools (HFM, Essbase, Planning, etc.) preferred.
- Hybrid On‑Site Work Environment:
Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in‑person engagement by working on‑site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non‑Ball locations may be required.] - Hiring Salary Range: $75,400 – $105,290 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
