PositionSummary
The retail Sales and Service Specialist (SSS) is a hybrid role that serves customers and performs entry‑level vehicle services. The role is foundational for future career growth within BSRO.
Pay Range$17.85 – $26.78 per hour
Responsibilities- Provide superior customer service (75% of time): assess needs, recommend products/services, communicate sales/promotions, promote financing options, resolve complaints, follow up for satisfaction.
- Complete basic vehicle service tasks (25% of time): tire services, oil and filter changes, battery testing and replacement, fluid/services, bulb/wiper replacement, alignment checks.
- Perform store operational tasks as needed: opening/closing procedures, unloading shipments, stocking, inventory, maintaining displays and promotional materials, general cleaning of lobby and shop areas.
- 2‑year degree or equivalent non‑traditional education, certification or training.
- Previous consumer retail sales experience.
- Previous automotive experience a plus.
- Previous managerial/supervisory experience a plus.
- Individual contributor with no direct reports.
- May act as Manager‑On‑Duty in certain circumstances.
- Assist Store Management with safety and operational readiness.
- Standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouching.
- Handling hand or pneumatic tools; lift up to 75 lb, push or pull up to 80 lb.
- Store locations open 7 days a week, approximately 91 hours.
- Lobby typically climate‑controlled; shop area generally not climate-controlled with concrete floors.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid automobile driver’s license.
- Customer service and career growth mindset.
- Completion of required store education courses and modules.
- Ability to learn and perform basic vehicle service tasks and operate store systems.
