Veterinary Receptionist - Experience Required

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our well‑established, high‑volume, 2.5‑doctor animal practice in Northport, Alabama. We’re looking for an energetic, positive individual who is highly organized, excels at multi‑tasking, and truly enjoys helping both people and their pets. With exciting changes ahead—including system updates and renovations—flexibility, adaptability, and comfort with change are strong advantages.

Position Highlights
  • Open to full‑time or part‑time candidates
  • Experience required in a veterinary environment
  • AVImark experience highly preferred
  • Change management or adaptability to new systems and processes is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent, compassionate client service both in person and over the phone
  • Greet clients, check patients in and out, and manage payment processing
  • Answer multi‑line phone calls, screen needs, and schedule appointments
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, email, and other client communications
  • Maintain a clean and organized client lobby
  • Accurately document client information, communication notes, and other patient data
  • Escalate complex or sensitive situations to senior staff when needed
  • Collaborate closely with the team to support smooth patient flow and a positive client experience
Skills & Requirements
  • Veterinary reception experience required
  • AVImark experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to learn and understand basic veterinary concepts (vaccines, preventatives, common conditions)
  • Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, friendly, and calm under pressure
Hours & Compensation
  • Position available as full‑time or part‑time (minimum 20 hours per week)
  • Pay is commensurate with experience
