English Teacher / Northwich Area / February Half-Term Start / Fixed-Term Until Easter

Are you a passionate English Teacher seeking a fresh and flexible teaching opportunity?

Academics is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming, 'Good' Ofsted-rated secondary school in the Northwich area, with easy access from Cheshire East locations including Crewe and Sandbach. The school is looking to appoint a part-time English Teacher from February half-term until Easter, working two days per week (Wednesday and Friday).

This role is primarily KS3-focused, making it an ideal opportunity for an ECT building experience or an experienced English Teacher seeking a flexible, rewarding position within a supportive department.

The Role

Part-time English teaching, mainly across Key Stage 3
Fixed-term contract from February half-term to Easter
Planning and delivering engaging, creative English lessons
Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback
Supporting and challenging pupils to achieve strong academic progress
Working collaboratively within a well-established English department

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English
Recent experience teaching KS3 (KS4 experience beneficial but not essential)
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
A genuine passion for English literature and language
A positive, reliable, and enthusiastic teaching approach
