Salary: £51,000
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

The role

We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of the HND Construction Management programme. Flexible teaching hours are required, covering weekdays, evenings and weekends. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
  • Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate.
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
  • Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
  • Stay current with developments in the field and student support practices.
  • Work toward defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
  • Previous UK higher education teaching experience in the wider subject area.
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Experience in accurate reporting and maintaining organised student records.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
  • Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme).
  • Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes.
