Level Teaching Assistant. Education & Training

Desian Education are proud to be working in collaboration with an extremely well regarded mainstream secondary school in Northwich that is at the heart of it's local community as they required an experienced and dependable higher level teaching assistant to join their designated provision on a long-term temporary basis. This school are looking for a HLTA to start immediately and will be considered a permanent appointment for the new academic year.

Within this role you will be joining the SEND team, playing an integral part in the education and development of pupils within a designated provision. You will support the class teacher in lesson delivery and PPA cover, ensuring that all learning is delivered in a stimulating and engaging learning environment. Other duties will include:

• Planning and delivering of comprehensive interventions in required area's including core subjects and ELSA
• PPA cover
• Well-being and self-esteem workshops

To be considered in your application you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS screening and:

• Have good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 national curriculum
• Experience working with SEN (SEMH is preferred)
• Have experience planning and delivering interventions including ELSA
• Be at least foundation degree in Education or equivalent qualified
