Job Title:
HGV Automotive Engineering Assessor / Tutor
Location:
Cheshire based
Salary: £38,400 - £42,400 (inclusive of car allowance) - salary depending on qualifications and experience
Type:
Full Time, Permanent 37 hours per week
Essential Criteria (for all candidates):
Must hold solid, occupational competency within the Heavy Automotive Engineering and Maintenance sector.
Must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Engineering / HGV.
Must have a working knowledge of Automotive Engineering for HGV and trailers.
Must have experience within Teaching / Assessing / Training (full training and support will be provided to achieve the Teaching and Assessing qualifications)
Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Ideally have an understanding of Apprenticeship programmes.
Must be flexible with travel.
Duties:
Assess/mentor learners working towards Apprenticeships in Bus and Coach Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.
Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
Support, advise and motivate learners.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
