As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Huntingdon, you will lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services across diverse sectors including healthcare, education and commercial projects. This full-time position offers a salary between £48,000 and £55,000 per annum.
The Role- As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take a key role within the team, working with a high degree of autonomy across a varied portfolio of technically challenging projects.
- You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for mechanical engineering delivery, lead selected projects and provide guidance to more junior members of the team.
- The role will include:
Acting as Project Leader on selected projects - Working as part of larger multidisciplinary project teams
- Managing the mechanical engineering aspects of projects from inception through to completion
- Attending client and project meetings and delivering presentations where required
- Developing strong relationships with existing clients and supporting opportunities for repeat business
- Providing technical leadership and helping to maintain high standards of mechanical engineering delivery
- Producing mechanical engineering drawings, specifications and design information
- Producing design calculations and supporting junior engineers with their calculations
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines
- Contributing to technically challenging projects across a range of sectors
- Supporting the development of more junior members of the team
- Ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and within agreed timescales
