HGV Technician

Location: Barnton

We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a reputable commercial vehicle dealership in Northwich, Cheshire. Our client is a well-established main dealer offering a competitive salary package with the potential to earn up to 50,000 per annum. The role operates on a 40-hour week with rotating shifts, including early, late, and alternate Saturday mornings, providing a balanced work-life arrangement. Duties of the HGV Technician:

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing HGVs to manufacturer standards
• Diagnosing faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and inspections
• Ensuring all work complies with DVSA and manufacturer procedures
• Maintaining accurate job and repair records
• Working safely within workshop health and safety guidelines
• Providing roadside assistance on a rota basis
• Ensuring workshop cleanliness and organisation

Requirements:

• Qualified HGV Technician (Level 3 qualification or equivalent preferred)
• Previous experience working on commercial vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Proactive team player with a professional attitude
• Full UK driving licence; HGV licence advantageous but not essential
• Ability to work on rotating shift patterns, including early, late, and Saturday shifts
