Chemical Process Operator Northwich Rotating Shift Pattern
6am - 2pm (Mon
- Fri)

-10 pm (Mon
- Thurs & Friday daytime shift)
10pm - 6am (Mon
- Thurs)
2 Levels of Operator positions (£35,400 & £37,840) + Overtime
We are seeking experienced Chemical Process Operators to join our team at our Northwich manufacturing site. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll be responsible for operating plant equipment, monitoring chemical processes, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Carry out raw material handling, batching, blending, and packaging operations
- Monitor process parameters and adjust controls to maintain quality and efficiency
- Complete routine checks, data logging, and quality assurance tasks
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Report process deviations, equipment faults, or incidents promptly
- Work collaboratively with the production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement
- Participate in training and ongoing development programmes
- For the higher level position, you will need experience in working with P&'s & Control Room operations such as SCADA (you will need to be able demonstrate knowledge of this at interview stage)
- Previous experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or process industry (COMAH experience advantageous)
- Strong awareness of health & safety and environmental standards
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work to high quality standards
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial environment
- Forklift licence and relevant safety certifications are desirable
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern (including nights and weekends)
