Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize product designs using CAD software.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Conduct design analysis, simulations, and calculations to validate concepts.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production-ready and cost-effective (DFM/DFA).
- Prototype and test new designs, analyzing performance and implementing improvements.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for design requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during production and field use.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor, CATIA) and PDM systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and their impact on design.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with material selection and properties for industrial applications.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and simulations (e.g., FEA) to validate designs.
- Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD).
- Demonstrated understanding of specific manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, additive manufacturing).
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience.
- Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems.
