Job DescriptionThe Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant facilitates the clinical staff‑patient encounter by assisting with the clerical activities essential to the office visit. Helps the clinical staff maximize their clinical role, improving patient flow and satisfaction.
This role will be required to travel to West Michigan locations. Mileage is included.
Education- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of work experience in a similar job or work environment.
- Assure completeness of the medical record by reviewing and gathering all relevant documents (lab results, radiology reports, correspondence from outside physicians, etc.) in preparation for the office visit.
- Obtain vitals, reconcile medications and allergy lists, document depression score, and complete falls risk assessment through patient interview and document in EMR.
- Maintain environment, including disinfecting, stocking, etc.
- Demonstrate constant awareness of the clinical care environment and readily respond to the needs of patients, families, physicians, and other team members.
- May be pulled to work at other CHC sites based on clinic and patient needs.
