Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Non-Ferrous Cast Alloys is seeking a Plant Manager to lead our foundry operations. This person will have day-to-day responsibility for the people, plant, process, and financial targets at our foundry.
The Plant Manager must enjoy working in an environment that is people-focused, process-led, and results-driven. The ideal individual will exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, can work under pressure at times to meet deadlines, possess strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and have the capability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Plant Manager will work both independently on projects and in a team environment, effectively leading the organization and facilitating training and development of employees.

Responsibilities
- Manage overall foundry operations.
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Responsible for the Safety, Quality, Production, Delivery, and Cost of the facility.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Oversee employee management and development.
- Provide expectations, accountability, and direction to all direct reports, including monitoring productivity and workload.
- Conduct staff meetings to coordinate daily foundry activities.
- Lead a culture that promotes collaboration, communication, trust, respect, and teamwork.
- Participate in the hiring and development of key foundry personnel, continuing to build a great team.
- Ensure all employees receive adequate training and timely evaluations, participating in evaluation and promotion of staff as appropriate.
- Initiate, develop, and coordinate the implementation of specific training programs.
- Promote safety daily, working with key leaders to identify, develop, and implement best practices in safety and quality.
- Schedule production and identify process improvements.
- Ensure all foundry issues are promptly addressed using problem-solving skills and root cause analysis.
- Direct all foundry activities in accordance with goals, product standards, costs, budget, manpower, and established procedures.
- Design and implement operations, programs, services, strategies, and initiatives that are responsive to the needs of the company's facility.
- Champion problem-solving teams and the use of Lean Principles to continually improve key performance measures.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Requires a superior knowledge of operations to include Safety culture, quality control, scheduling, material planning, continuous improvement, and production process to lead and direct the efficient flow of manufacturing for the foundry.
- Capable of streamlining and implementing processes, structures, and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands.
- General knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, sales, and employee engagement.
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- Ability to positively influence team members both personally and at work to achieve a high level of performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of management experience in foundry or related industry.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and proactive.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lift at least 45 pounds.
