Quality Technician | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $42,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities- Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products for conformance to specifications.
- Perform dimensional, visual, and functional tests using various measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
- Document inspection results, non-conformances, and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective action requests.
- Operate and perform basic maintenance on quality inspection equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
- Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process audits to ensure process adherence.
- Proficiency in precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
- Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) principles and inspection processes.
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and basic Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for non-conformance identification.
- Experience with Minitab or similar statistical analysis software.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
- Familiarity with common QMS (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) or ERP systems.
- Internal auditing experience or training.
