Cook for Assisted Living

Full-Time and Part-Time 2nd Shift (11:30 AM – 7:30 PM)

Day Spring Assisted Living seeks individuals who are passionate about cooking to join our dedicated food service team. Position Details:
  • Schedule:

    2nd Shift 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM (Full-Time and Part-Time)
Pay:

$16.00 – $18.50 per hour. Credit for experience, training, and certification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare great meals for up to 100 residents following established menus and guidelines.
  • Ensure food quality:
    Present meals that exceed residents’ expectations and meet all food safety regulations.
  • Food prep and kitchen maintenance:
    Assist with food preparation, clean-up, dishwashing, sanitizing kitchen equipment, cleaning kitchen, and storing supplies.
  • Work as a team:
    Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain smooth and efficient operation.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in large-batch cooking preferred (healthcare, catering, banquet service, schools, or restaurant environment).
  • Strong work history, reliability, and a heart for service.
  • Passionate about working in a Christian, faith-based environment, dedicated to serving older adults with compassion and excellence.
