Compensation

  • Annual Salary Range: $41,870.40 - $44,660.00
  • Hourly Pay Range: $20.13 – $21.47
Position Summary & Responsibilities

This Human Resource Professional I position is located in Norton within the Bureau of Human Resources. The role provides technical expertise across multiple human resource functions, requiring analytical thought and a high degree of concentration. The Human Resource Professional I reports directly to the district Human Resource Professional II and guides area offices in field locations on procedural and policy information.

  • Directs and administers personnel transactions including new hires, rehires, reinstatements, promotions, terminations, transfers, retirements, payroll reclassifications, leave without pay, and temporary assignments.
  • Reviews incoming employment applications for open positions.
  • Advises district staff, Area Office Managers (AOMs), and employees on policies, procedures, statutes, and regulations to be followed in human resource management.
  • Oversees three separate progression programs and training program reclassifications for the district.
  • Tracks all CDL licenses for promotion and expiration purposes.
  • Analyzes new Shared Leave requests, reviews for completeness, calculates hours needed for committee review, and completes processing.
  • Coordinates drug and alcohol testing program for the district.
  • Provides training to new district employees at final board meetings.
Qualifications
  • One year of experience in planning, directing, organizing, managing, or administering personnel or human resources functions.
  • Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Transcripts are required for education to be considered.
  • Valid Driver’s License at time of appointment.
