RN - Registered Nurse: PRN – PRN Rate $45/hr

Norton, KS

Qualifications- Licensed as a nurse in the state of employment.
- Associate’s degree in nursing (required for RN applicants).
- Work experience in substance‑abuse treatment preferred.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- PRN RN base pay at $45/hr (based on education and experience).
- Night: $4.25
- Weekend Night: $4.75
- Weekend Day: $1.00

- Execute prescribed treatments and medication interventions for each patient.
- Implement nursing care per Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct detox admissions and provide patient care during the detoxification process, including pre‑screening, physical assessment, health history, administering detox plans, and monitoring.
- Record treatment activities and observations in patient records accurately and timely; complete paperwork requirements.
- Communicate with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients’ status.
- Follow established policies and procedures for all medical emergencies (convulsions, suicides, delirium tremens, etc.).
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment using infection control techniques and universal precautions.
- Assist with detox admissions and support patient care during detoxification.
- Oversee non‑licensed nursing staff as directed by the Nursing Director.
- Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
- Direct contact with patients.
