RN - Registered Nurse: PRN – PRN Rate $45/hr

Qualifications
  • Licensed as a nurse in the state of employment.
  • Associate’s degree in nursing (required for RN applicants).
  • Work experience in substance‑abuse treatment preferred.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Compensation
  • PRN RN base pay at $45/hr (based on education and experience).
Shift Differentials
  • Night: $4.25
  • Weekend Night: $4.75
  • Weekend Day: $1.00

Job Summary / Responsibilities
  • Execute prescribed treatments and medication interventions for each patient.
  • Implement nursing care per Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct detox admissions and provide patient care during the detoxification process, including pre‑screening, physical assessment, health history, administering detox plans, and monitoring.
  • Record treatment activities and observations in patient records accurately and timely; complete paperwork requirements.
  • Communicate with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients’ status.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for all medical emergencies (convulsions, suicides, delirium tremens, etc.).
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment using infection control techniques and universal precautions.
  • Assist with detox admissions and support patient care during detoxification.
  • Oversee non‑licensed nursing staff as directed by the Nursing Director.
Work Environment
  • Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
  • Direct contact with patients.
