Overview
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Full-time at Meraki Rehab Partners. Responsibilities- Provide therapy services established by the Occupational Therapist (OTR) in the patient Plan of Care.
- Provide therapy services under the supervision of an OTR as determined by the Registered Therapist and in compliance with State and Federal guidelines.
- Consult with OTR regarding changes in treatment or condition in a timely manner.
- Complete documentation including daily notes and assist the OTR to create progress notes, discharge summaries, or monthly reports as needed.
- Submit billing, payroll, and expense documentation in a timely manner.
- Communicate with patients, families, referring physicians and other members of the team.
- Attend continuing education seminars/workshops to stay current with new clinical skills, programs or techniques.
- Participate in care planning meetings, rehab meetings and family training to communicate patient progress as requested by OTR, Director of Rehab or Rehab Resource Consultant.
- Follow organizational and facility policies and procedures to ensure employee and patient safety.
- Ensure equipment is in good working order prior to providing care; report damaged equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean environment.
- Attend required meetings, in-services and functions as designated by the Director of Rehab and/or the Rehab Resource Consultant.
- Coordinate treatment goals with other team members.
- Maintain valid licensure/certification as required by the appropriate state agency.
- Minimum of Associate of Arts in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Licensure as required by State guidelines.
- Certification as required by State.
- CPR Certification.
- 1 year Occupational Therapy Assistant experience preferred.
- 1-2 years experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility preferred.
- Recent graduates of Occupational Therapy Assistant programs will be considered.
