Job Description
Job Duties:
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Deliver product by car to customer door.
- Deliver flyers, door hangers, and marketing materials.
Training: Orientation and on‑the‑job training provided.
Communication
Skills:
Ability to comprehend and provide correct written instructions; ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions /
Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eye and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate, precise movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work
Conditions:
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash or performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in cooler to over 90 °F in some work areas.
- Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
- Fumes from food odors and exposure to commercial dust.
- Cramped quarters, walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces/tools up to 500 °F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing: Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks; depth perception; ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments: Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
Physical Demands:
- Standing:
Most tasks performed from a standing position, walking surfaces include ceramic tile “Bricks” with linoleum in food process areas; work surface height 36‑48 in. - Walking:
Typically short distances over short durations. - Sitting:
Paperwork completed at a desk or table. - Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries up to 60 lb, cases up to 3 ft × 1.5 ft, stacked on shelves up to 72 in high. - Carrying:
Items up to 30 lb; canisters up to 7 lb; pizza dough trays about 12 lb. - Pushing:
Trays on dolly approx. 7‑10 lb to push. - Climbing:
Occasionally navigate stairs or ladders. - Stooping/Bending: 30‑45 s at a time, repeated during the day.
- Crouching/ Squatting:
Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. - Reaching:
Up, down, forward; above 72 in occasionally.
Hand Tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of forearms and wrists; manipulating pizza peel, rolling cutter, cardboard pizza boxes; grasping cans, phones, cutters, and pizza peels.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
- Navigation skills to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain and multi‑story buildings.
- Ability to carry pizzas, sides, and beverages while performing walking and climbing duties.
- Drive company products within a designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift.
