Overview
Driver/Operator:
We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our team in Norwalk, CA. You will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
- Safety-Focused Operations:
Execute operations by following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations. - Passenger Care:
Provide exceptional care and assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation. - Vehicle Vigilance:
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and maintain cleanliness and readiness of safety equipment. - Adherence to Protocols:
Enforce seat belt use, follow emergency preparedness procedures, and comply with regulatory mandates. - Other duties as required
- 21 years or older
- Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement preferred
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Availability to work day, evening, weekend and overnight shifts as assigned
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 addresses prohibited substances
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
- May include long periods of sitting, typing, or screen time
- Work environment may be indoors or outdoors
- $20.50 - $26.00 per hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale). Starting pay is $20.50 with progression to $26.00 over 5 years
- Vacation: up to 14 days per year
- Paid Sick Leave: 40 hours yearly for full-time employees; vision after 90 days; life insurance, 401k, and company holidays
