Cabinetry and Millwork Draftsman

Northeast Group is a premier solutions provider for the construction and design trades. We are looking for an experienced draftsman to work for our cabinetry manufacturing division – Crane Woodworking, a fabricator and installer of high‑end custom millwork and cabinetry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings using computer software for a variety of projects. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed cabinetry drawings and installation drawings for construction purposes. Lastly, this candidate will support project management for Crane.

Full‑time

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, or similar tool
• Using AutoCAD or Sketch Up, manage technical support and engagement for Crane
• Prepare detailed drawings to facilitate the fabrication and installation of the cabinetry
• Manage existing project to assure seamless translation of the design with onsite project managers and installs
• Prepare design layouts, diagrams, schematics for review and approval
• Manage and organize design files and documentation
• Stay current with industry trends, advancements in technology, and best practices

Experience:

• Cabinetry shop drawing: 3 years (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years drafting experience in cabinetry and millwork shop drawings
• Knowledge and understanding of cabinet construction
• Ability to work with the Metric system
• Expertise in AutoCAD, 2020, and rendering software
