We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join a high-profile infrastructure project in Norwalk, CT, supporting one of the most complex rail and bridge replacement efforts in the Northeast. This role is ideal for a driven engineer who thrives in fast-paced, technically demanding environments and wants to be part of a landmark project with long‑term impact.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in managing day‑to‑day project execution, coordinating subcontractors, supporting construction sequencing, and ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Support project management teams with planning, scheduling, and execution of large‑scale civil construction activities
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, including tracking progress, quantities, and compliance with plans and specifications
- Assist with constructability reviews, means and methods, and work sequencing in constrained environments
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change documentation, and cost tracking
- Interface with field teams, designers, inspectors, and client representatives
- Support quality control, safety initiatives, and documentation requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience on large infrastructure projects
- Background in rail, bridge/structures, heavy civil, or complex transportation work strongly preferred
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi‑discipline scopes of work
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in a highly regulated, schedule‑critical environment
