Credit, Risk, and Decision Sciences Consultant

A Leading Commercial Finance Firm is seeking an experienced Credit Officer to underwrite and structure transactions in franchise finance and broader specialty finance segments. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex deal evaluations, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and expand expertise across multiple financing products. You will play a critical role in assessing credit risk, preparing approval materials, and ensuring compliance with underwriting standards.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and structure franchise finance and specialty finance transactions, ensuring compliance with credit policies and risk appetite.
• Prepare and present prescreen and underwriting memos with industry analysis, financial projections, sensitivity analysis, and obligor ratings to senior credit leadership.
• Coordinate due diligence and closing with internal teams and external parties, ensuring documentation reflects approved terms.
• Monitor portfolio performance, support onboarding and amendments, maintain pipeline records, and mentor junior credit officers.

Requirements

• 6+ years in franchise or specialty finance underwriting; delegated credit authority experience preferred.
• Advanced financial analysis and cash flow modeling skills; strong knowledge of structuring and documentation practices; proficiency in Excel and related tools.
• Deep understanding of credit evaluation, collateral analysis, and industry dynamics; ability to assess economic impacts on credit quality.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor junior team members.
