Environmental Services Associate 2 maintains the cleanliness of patient and hospital facilities for the best and safest health care at each hospital. Responsibilities include cleaning and servicing assigned areas, utilizing appropriate chemicals and supplies according to departmental procedures, and possibly assisting with training and onboarding of new EVS associates. All tasks are performed in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department.

• Utilize industrial cleaning machinery to perform certain cleaning assignments.
• Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Set up patient rooms and clean patient rooms after discharge in a timely manner.
• Utilize appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure, ensuring proper dilution, labeling, and lock-up.
• Transport trash, biomedical, and solid waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Distribute linens to patient wings and remove dirty linen as applicable.
• Follow all infection control practices, including hand washing, Standard Precautions and isolation precautions.
• Observe and report the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures.
• Perform special projects as assigned by EVS Lead.
• Collaborate with management to train new staff on assigned job duties.
• Perform work independently with normal supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in EVS in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
• Ability to complete industrial cleaning machine tasks.
• Comprehend and have conversational English.
