$18.50/hour.

STAR, Inc., is a non‑profit located in Norwalk, CT that provides support services to adult aged individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families for over 70 years. This takes many different forms but all with the same goal of improving the lives of those we serve. We help the individuals we support become the fullest versions of themselves through the values of inclusion, independence, and freedom of choice.

As a support counselor you will work with individuals who live in a home or apartment, assisting them with daily living skills. Our support counselors work with our individuals in teaching them all the things that can help them lead a more independent life. You would work in tandem with the individual and our in‑home supports team to help those we serve learn the skills they need to help care for themselves.

You will help the people we support gain more independence, confidence, and pride in being able to do things for themselves.

• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• A valid driver's license
• Compassion and ability to see the potential in everyone
• Positivity and a team‑player attitude

Full Time, 12:00pm‑7:00pm with weekend availability.
