Per Diem Echocardiographer 1 – Norwalk Hospital

Position:
Per Diem Echocardiographer 1 – Norwalk Hospital, Non-Invasive Cardiology – Norwalk, CT. Variable 8-hour shifts, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm, with some call and weekend coverage.

Performs all aspects of echocardiography imaging, including transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and pediatric modalities. Also performs non‑invasive cardiology diagnostic testing such as stress testing, Holter monitoring, and ECG testing and reporting.

• Perform transthoracic echocardiography testing.
• Perform transesophageal echocardiography testing.
• Perform stress echocardiography testing.
• Perform pediatric echocardiography.
• Provide ambulatory ECG monitoring.
• Troubleshoot, maintain equipment, and manage supplies.
• Ensure quality results and testing accuracy.
• Attend continuing medical education and participate in QA/CQI activities.
• Answer phones and schedule patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required: Graduate of a cardiac ultrasound program with sufficient skill and experience to sit for the Registry Boards. BLS certification.

Minimum Experience: Zero to six months.

Desired: ECG interpretation.

Salary: $33.21–$61.68 per hour, based on relative experience.
