The position plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s direct-to-consumer experience and delivering the seamless digital journey today’s shoppers expect. Each day brings variety—from troubleshooting code and collaborating with vendors to analyzing site performance and optimization tests. This role drives the evolution of the company’s digital commerce platform through a blend of hands‑on technical expertise and project management.

• Configure, optimize, and monitor ecommerce platform and related systems to improve customer experience and operational efficiency
• Coordinate with external development agencies and freelancers for larger technical initiatives
• Partner with internal teams (marketing, merchandising, creative, operations) to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Help enhance and maintain integrations between ecommerce platform and critical systems for operations, marketing, analytics, compliance and more.
• Ensuring the user experience (product pages, checkout, mobile) reflects the luxury branding of fine leather goods, handles variants, customizations, limited runs, etc.
• Monitor site performance, identifying and resolving technical issues impacting user experience or conversion
• Maintain technical documentation for platform configurations, custom code, and integration specifications
• Research and recommend new technologies and platform features to enhance D2C capabilities
• Partner with stakeholders and development teams to manage technical projects for ecommerce platform enhancements, from requirements gathering through deployment
• Configure and optimize Shopify Plus features including checkout flow, product pages, and site functionality
• Coordinate with internal teams and external developers/agencies to deliver technical improvements on time and budget
• Implement and test platform integrations including payment gateways, inventory systems, and marketing tools
• Troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing performance (site speed, responsiveness), maintaining integrations, monitoring data flows, and supporting enhancements.
• Monitor site performance metrics and implement optimizations for speed, conversion, and user experience
• Regularly validate ADA compliance and monitor site speed/performance
• Maintaining documentation (system flows, SOPs for ecommerce operations, platform configuration) and helping train colleagues on system/process changes.
• Staying current on ecommerce technologies, especially luxury-goods retail trends (e.g., AR/VR try‑on, customization tools for leather goods, premium checkout experiences).

• 3+ years of experience in ecommerce technical roles, preferably in fashion or retail
• Hands‑on experience with Shopify Plus required
• Experience with version control (Git) and development workflows
• Understanding of API integrations and data flow between systems
• Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, analytics implementation, and conversion tracking
• Experience managing technical projects and coordinating with external developers
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly
• Knowledge of ecommerce best practices for UX, site speed, and conversion optimization
• Understanding of responsive design and mobile‑first development
• Excellent communication skills to translate between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, marketing, or related field
