DESCRIPTION

Servpro of Stamford, serving the Fairfield County (Norwalk, CT) area is seeking a self‑motivated individual to fill the role of the Asbestos Supervisor

The Asbestos Supervisor plays a critical role and must be able to work, oversee and supervise abatement and demolition projects. The Asbestos Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of workers, ensuring strict compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring health regulations, and coordinating project activities to achieve successful outcomes. In addition to complying with company standards, and establishing health and safety protocols, and conduct safety trainings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Project Planning and Coordination
  • Collaborate with Asbestos Project Manager to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
  • Develop project plans, including daily/weekly work tasks, resource allocation, and equipment needs.
  • Coordinate and supervise the execution of abatement and demolition activities
  • Monitor project plans and specifications.
Team Leadership and Supervisor:
  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of abatement and demolition workers.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback and coaching to ensure high‑quality work.
  • Train team members on proper abatement and demolition techniques, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, best practices. C
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, daily/weekly toolbox talks, and training sessions to address safety concerns and promote awareness.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and implement preventive measures to minimize risks.
  • Ensure the use or appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all team members.
Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure that all abatement and demolition work is performed in accordance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the quality and accuracy of work.
  • Secure, process and properly segregate waste and assure proper classification.
Communication, Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain written communication with customers, CEO, COO, Office Coordinators, and other team members, to address project related issues and concerns via email and phone.
  • Provide daily regular project updates and maintain good relationships with clients.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues in a time and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of work performed, daily logs, incident reports and inspections.
  • Send daily jobsite and equipment photographs at the start and end of the workday.
  • Prepare daily/weekly project plans and send them to the COO and Project Manager.
  • Manage sub‑contractor invoices for jobs.
Other:
  • Educate customers on process.
  • Other ad‑hoc duties assigned and requested by management.
  • Daily WIP (Work in Progress) Meeting Attendance is required.
  • Company Monthly Team Meeting Attendance is required.
REQUIREMENTS, DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, AND

SKILLS:
  • CT Licensed Asbestos Supervisor is required
  • Valid Driver’s License is required
  • 5 Experience in various aspects of abatement projects is required
  • 3+ years of experience in restoration and/or construction is preferred
  • 3+ years of project management Experience is required
  • OSHA Certification is preferred
  • Work on residential, and commercial projects
