Location:
Norwalk, Connecticut.
Base pay: $75,000.00/yr – $85,000.00/yr.
Our client, a new hospitality business venture, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead all operational, revenue management, community engagement and brand voice of their newly opened business. The General Manager will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations, team leadership, revenue optimization across multiple streams, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining profitability and growth.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all daily operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Implement and maintain operational policies, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships, including service providers, cleaning partners, and maintenance contractors.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, including KPIs, margins, and profitability by revenue stream.
• Develop and execute pricing strategies and promotional initiatives to drive demand and repeat business.
• Ensure all guest interactions reflect the company’s brand values and commitment to exceptional service.
• Oversee social media presence, local marketing initiatives, and community partnerships.
• Manage website functionality and e-commerce capabilities in collaboration with vendors and technology partners.
• Build and develop a high‑performing, values‑driven team culture.
• Train staff on service standards, safety practices, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with HR systems (including Gusto) for payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Partner with ownership on long‑term strategy and annual business planning.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of management experience, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, fitness, or similar customer‑focused business.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with operational systems and point‑of‑sale/membership software.
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Physical ability to be active throughout the facility during operations.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn safety and building code requirements for assembly occupancies.
