This role can be based in New York City, Connecticut, Atlanta, Charlotte, or Norwalk, where Mercer has office locations. It is a hybrid position that requires working in the office at least three days per week.
As a Senior Employee Benefits (Health & Benefits) Sales Consultant
, you will leverage Mercer’s expertise to develop innovative sales strategies that address critical challenges in healthcare, financial security, and career development for employers and their employees.
- Apply highly developed market and internal service insight to sales cold calls to engage potential clients, generate interest, and schedule meetings or presentations.
- Create sales proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that creatively and effectively address complex prospect needs and communicate the business value of internal services and offerings.
- Lead complex sales processes from identification to closing; lead pricing negotiations, facilitate product and expectation discussions, and secure a beneficial financial outcome for the business.
- BA/BS degree.
- Strong track record of achieving sales goals.
- Experience selling to companies in the 1,000–5,000 employee benefit space.
- Experiential knowledge of the Employee Benefits or Health and Benefits consulting industry and products.
- Strong network and ability to gain access to C‑suite level executives.
- Life and Health License.

- The applicable base salary range for this role is $97,000 to $194,500. Base pay is determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements.
- In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
