Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
Pay Range: $21.00/hr - $22.00/hr
PositionFull Time Floating Maintenance Technician at Richman Property Services, Inc. in Norwalk, CT.
LocationRiver Commons (34 units) and Wall Street Place (155 units) in Norwalk, CT 06850.
HoursMonday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, 40 hours per week, full-time, includes weekend on-call rotation.
Key Requirements- EPA 608 type I & II or EPA Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 75 days).
- Ability to work independently in multi-site or larger properties.
- Perform porter duties for both properties.
- Valid active driver’s license.

Responsibilities- Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property.
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines.
- Manage service requests and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and Clean Air Act.
- Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment.
- Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports on time.
- Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service.
- Seek educational opportunities for growth.
- Assist in property preventative maintenance plan.
- Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness.
- Perform on‑call duties and occasional overtime.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in maintenance or groundskeeping.
- Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
- Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping.
- Certifications: EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license strongly preferred.
