Floating Maintenance Tech

Pay Range: $21.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Full Time Floating Maintenance Technician at Richman Property Services, Inc. in Norwalk, CT.

River Commons (34 units) and Wall Street Place (155 units) in Norwalk, CT 06850.

Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, 40 hours per week, full-time, includes weekend on-call rotation.

• EPA 608 type I & II or EPA Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 75 days).
• Ability to work independently in multi-site or larger properties.
• Perform porter duties for both properties.
• Valid active driver’s license.

• Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines.
• Manage service requests and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and Clean Air Act.
• Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment.
• Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports on time.
• Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service.
• Seek educational opportunities for growth.
• Assist in property preventative maintenance plan.
• Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness.
• Perform on‑call duties and occasional overtime.

• Education: High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in maintenance or groundskeeping.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
• Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping.
• Certifications: EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license strongly preferred.
