The Automotive Service Technician services and repairs all vehicles to manufacturer standards; he or she will also be required to complete pre‑delivery inspections and perform all used‑car inspections to our high service standards.
The ideal candidate has experience which may include:
- a high school diploma or GED
- some post‑secondary automotive training
- dealer‑level or large‑facility experience
- additional certificate such as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
He or She must maintain an unrestricted driver’s license and a clean driving record, must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills and deliver great customer service.
RequirementsPerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with manufacturer and dealership requirements. Test‑drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Properly diagnose and repair all vehicles to manufacturer and dealership requirements. Maintain great teamwork within the department with fellow technicians, good communications with service advisors and parts department. Ability to properly document all steps of repairs completed in compliance with manufacturer standards.
Proper use of the dealer’s computer system. Properly complete all manufacturer training requirements.
