General Summary

In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment, and education.

Essential Functions
  • Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to ensure evaluations are performed safely and accurately.
  • Sets short- and long‑term goals that are realistic, measurable, and address functional needs. Goals are written upon completion of evaluation per department standards and guidelines.
  • Independently selects and performs therapeutic techniques that are consistent with the patient's problems and medical status and reflect an integration of the therapist's clinical knowledge and theory.
  • Demonstrates knowledge about equipment/materials utilized in patient care per supervisor's observation and chart documentation.
  • Provides patient/family educational needs.
  • Adheres to all procedures and documentation standards per rehabilitation area/department.
  • Works within the guidelines and authorizations provided by the individual's insurance coverage, and/or Medicare guidelines.
  • Demonstrates good time management as evidenced by completing work assignments on time and consistently striving to be a productive member of the institution. Willingness to provide coverage in other rehabilitation areas is required.
