• Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and in-stock and inventory levels; budgets and forecasts; monitors economic trends and community needs.
• Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to Associates on customer/member service approaches to resolve needs and issues within Company guidelines.
• Oversees community outreach programs and encourages Associates to engage as responsible community members.
• Ensures compliance with Company policies, legal regulations, asset protection and safety controls; analyzes reports and develops action plans to improve performance; leads execution of Company programs and strategic initiatives.
• Directs Vision Center Associates to ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and records.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing performance, and fostering a culture of belonging.
• Ensures provision of quality eyewear by consulting with Members/Customers, selecting products based on needs, taking measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment.
• Promotes Open Door Policy: meet with Associates, listen to concerns, review policies, and suggest resolutions.
• Coordinates and oversees related activities by building relationships with stakeholders and aligning plans to meet customer and business needs; communicates goals; measures progress and identifies improvement opportunities.

• Minimum Qualifications:
  
  Completion of 2+ years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience including 1 year of optical experience;
  High school diploma or equivalent; current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Supervising Associates (optional).
