We are seeking result-driven Deli/Kitchen Associates for our fast‑paced kitchen locations that can provide our guests with fast, friendly, and high‑quality service. The Kitchen Associate is responsible for supporting the deli manager in day‑to‑day operations of Friend Ship Kitchens and upholding Friend Ship Kitchen standards and culture in all areas of food service operations.

• Provide Wicked Awesome Customer Service (WACS) to our customers each day by greeting them with a smile and assisting with their food inquiries when necessary.
• Prepare and cook all food items according to menu specifications.
• Ensure all food items are properly labelled and stored to maintain freshness and quality.
• Train and mentor new team members on proper food handling and preparation techniques.
• Assists in receiving, placing, monitoring, and replenishing food service items as needed.
• Identifies and communicates food service operational opportunities to Store Management staff.
• Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
• Work with the Kitchen Manager to understand and execute proper deli food preparation, schematics, par sheets, replenishment, and storage procedures.
• Ensure high quality standard of food items from preparation to point of sale.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment and cutlery.
• Completes shift paperwork, build‑to and order guides as needed.

• Ratings of assigned store, via Mystery Shopper and other independent store evaluation programs.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in food service restaurant or at the C‑Store of QSR level.
• Achieving Serv Safe level 1 Certification.
• Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.

Occasional:

Walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing and pulling, climbing, stooping, forward bending, squatting, reaching, use of hands and feet, exposure to hot and cold temperatures, weather, atmospheric conditions.

Frequent:

Standing, sitting, driving, use of hands (washing hands), talking, hearing, seeing, cutting, operating kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, steam tables, dishwashers.
