Opportunity Overview

The ICE Technician maintains and repairs electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems within a power plant environment. This includes monitoring and troubleshooting Distributed Control Systems (DCS), gas and steam turbine control systems, generators, transformers, and switch gear. You will ensure plant performance through preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair activities while following safety and compliance standards.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Maintain plant electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot plant Distributed Control System (DCS) and turbine control systems.
  • Perform routine and complex troubleshooting activities for electrical and control systems.
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for efficient work planning and documentation.
  • Improve preventive maintenance programs to meet OEM recommendations and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate logs, manuals, records, blueprints, and operating procedures.
  • Provide detailed written reports on control system conditions.
  • Incorporate safe work practices and comply with all safety and health policies.
  • Be the technical resource and provide on-the-job training to others in complex technical areas.
Who You Are
  • High School Diploma or technical/vocational degree (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years in instrumentation, electrical, and control system applications.
  • Experience with chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics.
  • Proficiency in DCS programming and configuration.
  • Advanced certifications/licensures.
  • Valid state driver's license.
