CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a GIS Technician I to join our Geospatial Team in one of our Massachusetts offices. In this unique opportunity, you will support internal and external projects through high‑quality map design, data creation, and foundational spatial analysis using Geographic Information System (GIS) platforms.
What You’ll Do:- Perform basic data gathering and data conversion assignments as well as database/geodatabase and metadata management tasks.
- Prepare simple cartographic maps and perform basic geoprocessing and spatial analysis operations using GIS software.
- Build working knowledge of industry‑specific datasets and their application in projects while maintaining company standards for accuracy and quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS certificate, or related degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant GIS experience required.
- Basic Microsoft Office and ESRI Arc Map/ArcGIS Pro software skills required; familiarity with AutoCAD, Small world, Map Info, and Google Earth is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of geographically referenced data such as projects, datum, and map scales required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and perform tasks with a high degree of efficiency, accuracy and quality.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and on a team with a professional client service mindset.

Salary Range:$24.03 – $26.44
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
